Becky Worrell Selected as Shorewood Interim Assistant Principal

Becky Worrell has been selected to serve as Interim Assistant Principal at Shorewood High School during the 2025-26 school year, Superintendent Susana Reyes announced. Becky is a familiar leader in Shoreline, having served as Assistant Principal at Shorecrest High School for 15 years, where she focused on building inclusive, student-centered programs and strong partnerships with families.

Becky began her career as a math teacher in the Kent and Bellevue school districts before moving into administration. Over the past three years, she has taken time to focus on her family and the joy of launching her daughter, River, into her elementary school journey. With River now headed into 3rd grade, Becky is excited to return to supporting students and families in their high school experience.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Walla Walla University, her master’s in education from Western Washington University, and her administrative credential from the University of Washington’s Danforth Program.

Becky shared, “I’m thrilled to be back in Shoreline and look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to help every student feel connected, supported, and successful.”

“Becky brings a wealth of experience in high school leadership and a deep commitment to collaboration,” said Superintendent Reyes. “We are fortunate to have her step into this role at Shorewood and know she will continue to foster strong relationships in support of our students’ success.”
