Becca Wahler Appointed Assistant Principal of Shorecrest High School

Becca Wahler has been appointed to serve as Assistant Principal at Shorecrest High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Superintendent Susana Reyes announced. She will join Shorecrest from Kellogg Middle School, where she has served as Principal since 2022.

Becca brings more than two decades of experience in education, including service as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, department leader, and building principal. As Principal of Kellogg Middle School, she has led work focused on student success, school culture, and building a strong sense of community and belonging for students and staff.

Before moving into building leadership, Becca taught Math, English Language Arts, and Science at Selah Intermediate School, where she also served as Instructional Coach and Assessment Coordinator. She later led multiple departments at Selah High School, including English, Special Education, ELL, and Classified staff. Becca earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington and both her Masters in Teaching and her Educational Administration certificate through Heritage University.

Outside of work, Becca can be found hiking, throwing pottery, baking, attending live music, and traveling. Becca and her family, who have a deep appreciation for the arts, are deeply connected to the Shoreline community. Her husband Kale is a musician, their daughter Addie is a Kellogg student with a passion for theater, and their older daughter Lilith is a visual artist studying at Western Washington University.

"Supporting students to find belonging, empowerment, and inspiration is at the core of my work, and I look forward to doing that alongside the Shorecrest students and staff. Go, Scots!"
